[Zoom Meeting] Open Your Mind with OpenedEyes: Jumping into the Conversation
About the Series:
The Nonprofit Partnership is teaming up with OpenedEyes to start the tough conversations that we need to have. It doesn’t matter where you are on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion spectrum. It doesn’t matter what color your skin is. It doesn’t matter your sexual orientation. It doesn’t matter if you’re a nonprofit employee starting out or the leader that has been at the helm for years. All are welcome and encouraged to join in the conversation. Tune in to this series to have important conversations, learn something new and open our minds!
Please note – this series is for you, the attendee. Engagement via video/audio is strongly encouraged but we’d never turn someone away who’d prefer to soak up the information. Whatever your level of comfort or knowledge, we want you to find benefit. Save your spot now - there is limited space available!
Session 1: Jumping into the Conversation
In this inaugural session, Brandon Wiley, Founder and Executive Director with OpenedEyes, and OpenedEyes team members will review the current state of diversity, equity and inclusion in our country and in our community. We’ll hear from you, the attendee, too:
What areas of focus are you looking for?
What education do you need?
What questions do you have?
What are you currently doing to help/what do you want to do to help?
Diversity, equity and inclusion are huge topics right now. It’s important that these focus areas not be replaced with the next media frenzy (at least murder hornets are out of the way... for now... fingers crossed)!
Please note: There will be five sessions total within this series - please feel free to join us for all five! Mark your calendar for the additional sessions:
Session 2: You Don’t Know Until You Know - September 1st at 9:00 AM
Session 3: Your Circle Matters - October 7th at 9:00 AM
Session 4: What WHO Are You? - November 5th at 10:00 AM
Session 5: You’ve Heard it Before and You’ll Hear it Again: There Isn’t Community without Unity - December 2nd at 10:00 AM
