Girl Program Specialist - Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania

As a member of the Girl Program Team, you will work with other team members to develop and provide quality, age-appropriate, fun and engaging programs for our girl members to enhance their membership experience. You will have the privilege of promoting Girl Scouting as an inclusive sisterhood that provides a girl-only safe space.

Position Accountabilities:
• Plan and implement medium and large scale events for girls at all age levels across the council;
• Mentor and work with adult volunteers on best practices for program delivery OR on delivering a quality membership experience to girls;
• Use national and local council curricula, resources and tools to support new and progressive girl programming;
• Work with cross-functional team to determine or develop innovative strategies to ensure the effective support of volunteers;
• Cultivate and vet community partnerships and relationships to enhance girl and volunteer member benefits and volunteer-led programming;

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or related experience in youth programming, social service, or related humanities field;
• Minimum of two years of experience and proven success in planning and implementing quality programming for youth;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and non-traditional work hours including evenings and weekends;
• Ability to travel throughout western PA, as needed;
• Ability to provide superior customer service;
• Must possess a can-do mentality, be responsible, and be a lifelong learner;
• This is a full-time position;
• Clearances are required;
