Donor Relations Manager - Erie Philharmonic

The Donor Relations Manager is responsible for a variety of tasks, including donor relations, annual fund, Board cultivation, volunteer coordination and more.


Maintain the donor portion of Patron Manager database, including all data entry, file maintenance and establishment of consistent record-keeping practices
Oversee the donor acknowledgement program, including producing weekly letters for donors and new subscribers
Responsible for handling incoming cash flow and reporting
Maintain the honor roll for program books
Implement benefits associated with the Encore Club, including lounge passes, parking passes, donor events, etc…
Aid in producing Annual Report
Become proficient in Patron Manager software to track donor data and giving information
Produce lists and reports as necessary
Aid in planning and implementing all stewardship and cultivation events

Aid in lower-level donor cultivation
Establish a strong Annual Fund appeal schedule and case statement
Help in distribution of Annual Fund benefits
Implement all mailings and solicitations

Lead effort to secure grants/institutional funding
Assit Executive Director with grant writing as necessary
Aid in producing follow-up reports
Research new grant opportunities

Serve as staff liaison for all volunteer opportunities, including concert ushers and special event volunteers
Coordinate schedule of ushers for all Warner Theatre concerts
Serve as main point of contact for volunteers for all special events and office assistance

Help present a professional lobby presence at all Philharmonic events and the office
Serve as box office staff during office hours and for all functions
Help prep information for Board of Governors regarding directory, sponsorships, etc

The Erie Philharmonic is looking for the following recommended qualifications for the position of Donor Relations Manager:

Two years of experience with a professional orchestra preferred
Experience working with Microsoft Office
Extensive musical knowledge preferred
Willingness to engage donors outside of the office
Willingness to work beyond normal 9-5 hours
Collaborative and positive attitude
Attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility and willingness to take initiative when needed
